It’s been about a month since they had a sample sale. With the blackout dates, these won’t work for Christmas or New Year’s travel, but still some good deals, and finally some flights out of Portland! :)

Air New Zealand has roundtrip flights from LAX or SFO to Auckland for $798 roundtrip! Travel dates are May 1 – June 8, 2009 (autumn is a great time to see NZ). Flights must be booked by November 18, 2009.

Expedia just launched a Holiday Kickback promo with a $200 off travel coupon. They had a similar promo in August, but this time you get $200 off a future purchase. Here’s how it works…

1. Book any roundtrip flight on Expedia.com by December 31, 2009 (for travel through January 3, 2010).

Jet Blue is having a Halloween sale today for all one-way fares departing on October 31 for $31. The catch? The flight must depart after noon. They say “No trick, all treat” but good luck on finding any flights departing in the afternoon! :(

Oh Ryanair, stop tempting us with 1€ ($1.47) fares! Ryanair is advertising 1 euro flights until midnight on September 17, 2009 for many European routes. For example, I found a Porto (Portugal) to Milan (Italy) flight for October 15, 2009. However, they add 5 euros at checkout for payment handling, unfortunately, they won’t let you “not pay” so anyway you go about it, the flight will be 6 euros — or $8.81. Still, if you have a European vacation planned, it might be worth checking out to “jump” over to another country, cheaper than the train!

British Airways is having a winter Europe sale with flights from $190 each way. 9 cities are available: Amsterdam, Athens, Frankfurt, London, Madrid, Paris, Prague, Rome, and Vienna. Rates are based on travel from October 22, 2009 – March 28, 2010, but must be booked by September  24, 2009.

The best deals are from the west coast. For example: Seattle to Madrid (SEA > MAD) is $221 each way, February 10 – 21, 2010 $578.16 including taxes.  [via Travelzoo]
