US Airways is running a free promo for an upgrade to Silver Preferred Status for 90 days to one year. Preferred status gets you: upgrades, waived baggage fees, bonus miles and “more”. If you plan on flying US Airways in the near future it’s worth it for the waived baggage fee!
How to:
- Join the Dividend Miles program, if you aren’t a member by August 31, 2009
- Complete the upgrade registration
- Wait up to 14 days for your upgrade email
The Virgin Atlantic upgrade is via Hilton HHonors, and you get an instant upgrade to Silver membership status + 2,500 miles flying club. Another good one if you plan on flying Virgin Atlantic.
